A thrilling read that contains cinematic writing, quirky characters, and interesting sleuth work. Tyson Collin writes in gorgeous prose, creating characters that are believable and weaving surprising plot points into the narrative. The backstories combine with streams of consciousness to offer solid and vivid portraits of the characters. This immensely satisfying tale takes readers on a ride alongside characters they learn to care about. There are times readers want to see the bandits caught, but the criminals are so well-written that it is hard to lose sympathy for them, so you want to watch their next step in this chess game as the bad guys struggle to evade getting caught while the detectives seek clues. The setting is vividly written and readers instantly feel the soul of the small town while the characters remind them of someone they have known. It is a wonderful ride.  Homecoming Heist is a rollicking ride that offers great material for an action movie, and Tyson Collin’s sense of humor instantly rubs off on the reader.
