In Night Ghost by Nick C. Brady, a spooky adventure into an abandoned cemetery goes horribly wrong for a group of 4 teens as they find themselves stalked. Three high-school friends, Suellen, Slim, and Brandon are inquisitive about the abandoned cemetery near their homes which they pass by on their way back from school. Andre, Suellen's brother, tells them about a local superstition that claims anyone who walks across one of the graves will be plagued by the spirit of the angry man buried there. The party chooses to trespass one night into the cemetery in hopes of seeing if there’s any truth to the ominous ghost story. However, the sudden arrival of the cops and the headlining news of an escaped serial killer on the loose bring their menacing adventure to an early end. But tension begins to rise as the group of friends notice they are being tailed, preyed upon, and terrorized by something that seems more than just an old man’s ghost. Soon, the four young people become embroiled in events that may be far more perilous than being tormented by a ghost in a cemetery.

Night Ghost is a welcome addition to the shelves of fans of teenage crime thrillers. The plot is permeated with a spookiness that rubs off powerfully on readers and keeps them watching what happens next to the characters. Nick C. Brady has a knack for crafting believable and robust characters and putting them into situations where their humanity is unmistakably compelling and clear. The suspense lifts this story and transforms it into a page-turner. The plot is cunningly imagined and written with skill, sprinkled with suspense and emotionally tense moments. A murder and a serial killer on the loose are strong enough elements for an engrossing tale, but when four teenagers are stalked, the stakes become high. You’ll be hooked from the first page and will race through the story, oblivious of time.
